Founded in 2013 by Natalia Bryantseva, Avgvst Jewelry creates minimalist jewellery for people who refuse the traditional. Avgvst isn’t meant to be worn just against the body or as an accessory, the pieces are crafted to interact with the body with every movement that you make. The brand’s designs admire the beauty of simplicity, utility and sustainability with utter style and elegance.
The Russian-based label’s latest collection, Heart of Avgvst, is a homage to art history set in an ’80s world. Exaggerated heart-shaped glass pendants inspired by elongated hearts from the Middle Ages are paired with modern Yes and No lettering, reinventing the label’s best-selling swivel ring. An oversized single cross earring comes accompanied by rose-shaped signet rings and shield-shaped hoop earrings are deeply romantic.
The Heart of Avgvst collection was inspired by museum exhibits, mid-century portraits and nostalgic pieces found in your mother’s old jewellery box. “Heart Of Avgvst resembles pieces from a jewellery box of a girl from the cutting-edge of ‘80s hip hop and, at the same time, aristocratic items meant for a visit to the opera. Together they look solid, elegant and relevant,” states the brand.
The collection features rock crystals and citrine gems that have been mined and hand-cut in the mountains of Russia and framed in high-quality sterling silver and 14K gold. Taking a step back in time has never looked so good.
