TikTok has certainly been having quite the year compared to the rest of us. Throughout 2020, many of us have plunged into an infinite realm of minute-long videos, often scrolling well past 2am – so an under-eye bag hack could be useful at this point. Beauty and make-up fanatics have found the perfect platform for all their beauty hacks, make-up tricks and skincare saviours. And for those of us who lack the attention span to spend hours perfecting the latest make-up trends, the beauty of TikTok means tutorials are condensed into 60-second masterclasses. Here, we counted down 10 beauty trends which dominated the platform throughout 2020. Warning: some are rather questionable…
Bella Hadid-inspired hair tutorials

Soap brows
The soap brows trend is one that definitely won’t be fleeting. Although more suited to thicker and darker brows, this technique is guaranteed to tame anyone’s wild, stray hairs. Heatless curls
Singeing your fingertips on a curling iron is never the highlight to anyone’s beauty routine. Thankfully, hair extraordinaires have come up with a less painful alternative and all you need is a dressing gown belt. Simply – easier said than done – wrap your locks around the belt to wake up to gorgeous Hollywood curls. We can’t guarantee you’ll have a comfy night’s sleep, though.

Fox-eye make up
The key to the perfect smize is arguably a fox-eye. With that in mind, please don’t go spending your well-deserved cash on unnecessary and expensive – not to mention painful – surgery. Simply use a slightly lighter concealer just under your tear duct as well as diagonally up from your eye’s outer edge and blend.
