Gucci Bring Their Equilibrium Platform to Instagram

Back in 2018, Gucci launched its Equilibrium platform – aimed to “inspire and unify a community of voices to join the conversations around topics that are increasingly critical in today’s world.” Through the platform, the brand has launched its Chime For Change initiative which fights for gender equality across the globe, as well as outlining its sustainability strategy and its commitment to diversity within the Gucci community. Now Gucci Equilibrium is entering its next stage. Through a new Instagram account, @GucciEquilibrium, the platform is hoping to invite more curious and conscious people into the Gucci community. The brand has recently published the results of its 2019 Environmental Profit and Loss (EP&L), which revealed Gucci has reduced its environmental impact year-over-year by 21 per cent. Since Gucci committed to becoming carbon-neutral back in 2018, both in their operations and supply chain, the brand has protected 1,102,000 hectares of critical forest. In addition, in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, Gucci’s president and CEO, Marco Bizzarri, alongside creative director, Alessandro Michele have pledged to combat racism and fight for racial equality.

You can follow @GucciEquilibrium for all the latest updates from the platform.
