Browns Fashion are Celebrating the Bonds that Matter with the ‘Family Affair’ Initiative

For many of us quarantining in London, there’s probably nothing you want more at the moment than to flee the city to be at home with your family. In times of such uncertainty, there’s no one you want more by your side than you’re nearest and dearest (and your mother’s cooking!) Whilst four-way Facetime calls and poor attempts at copying your mum’s homemade lasagne may be the closest you can get to having the real deal at the moment, Browns Fashion are opening the virtual doors to their own extended families.

Celebrating the bonds that matter, Family Affair is a bi-weekly series that invites a selection of guest editors to curate content alongside their friends, family and long-time collaborators. Detouring between image-makers, designers, stylists and more, Family Affair aims to keep viewers engaged and inspired through harnessing originality. Kicking things off is poet and activist Kai-Isaiah Jamal, who will be joined by London menswear staple Charles Jeffrey, singer and chef Denai Moore, plus a selection of over creatives, who will focus their curation around solidarity and optimism.

Family Affair is the first of a three-part quarterly series of initiatives Browns will be launching this year under the titles Future, Icons and Seduction. The first chapter will last three months and will celebrate the creatives who are shaping the fashions of tomorrow. The retailer is also supporting the BFC Foundation Covid Crisis Fund, where they have increased their ongoing commitment to the NEWGEN initiative by 50%. We know what we’ll be tuning into for the next three months…

‘A Family Affair: A Celebration of the Bonds That Matter’ will be live on brownsfashion.com and across the Browns social media channels from today.
