Mister Armani did not become the most successful fashion designer on the planet and a cultural colossus by sticking to convention. His sporty elegance rewrote the rules of modern dressing so it’s no surprise that his muse for Emporio Armani is the kind of bold, kick -ass woman who lives by her own dress code.
She’s experimental and wears her mini cocktail dress over trousers, as well as jewel-coloured velvet during the day. She can be boyish in little shorts or feminine in cascading ruffled shifts. She can party in a shimmering cocktail dress or dance all night in a teeny tiny tuxedo shorts suit worn with delicate black lace. The only rules that matter are the ones she sets for herself. The Armani woman also cares about the environment and the designer continued the recycling initiative he kicked off in January at menswear shows with a capsule collection called R-EA made of regenerated wool and denim or organic cottons. Armani, as always is taking the lead.
