Josh O’Connor Takes a Trip to Japan For The Latest Instalment of Eye/Loewe/Nature

With 2020 comes a change of scenery for Josh O’Connor. We are used to seeing the spiffing young actor within the hallowed halls of (fake) Buckingham Palace, portraying Prince Charles in the latest season of Netflix’s The Crown. Now he’s off to Japan, not for a Lost in Translation remake, but for the latest Eye/Loewe/Nature campaign. Escaping the hustle and bustle of inner-city Tokyo, Connor journeys through Fuji-Hakone Izu National Park, exploring the Lake Aishi and vast green lands, before camping there overnight.

This great excursion is shot by Gray Sorrenti, who plays a deft hand in capturing the vivid hues of the Spring Summer 2020 collection’s technical menswear. Made from a selection of organic and recycled fabrics, the collection sees aquarium gravel blues and forest greens paired with Barney purples and a gorgeous palette of pinks. Soft-to-touch fleeces made from recycled polyester look great when paired with cargo trousers equipped with seven nifty pockets. A chorus of jumpers, workshirts, and graphic tees are highly wearable, whilst the waterproof parkers make for particularly strong outerwear.

As with any Loewe offering, the accessories are a knock-out. Our personal pick has to be the handy, miniature Chalk Bag, or a tote made from pastel-hued, camouflaged fleeced material. There’s a sturdy calfskin hiking boot up for grabs also. They come in a turquoise/ orange/ yellow colourway, or if you’re looking for something a little more sugary, there’s a terrific variation in pink. For every product sold from the SS20 Eye/Loewe/Nature collection, the Spanish brand promises to donate 15 Euros to environmental causes across the globe. Go ahead, do your bit for the planet and look great whilst doing so.
