New Dauphine, new store, new everything. Move over Halloween, Mean Girls and “It’s October 3rd” – you’re all old news. October 23rd is the new hot date of the month, and we (un)officially declare these sacred 24-hours the new Louis Vuitton day. We’re in a celebratory mood as after fourteen months of closeted renovations, our neighbouring Louis Vuitton store is open and looking swankier than ever. Step inside the New Bond Street space and you’re greeted by a Damier check patterned floor which leads onto the changeable gallery space designed by Peter Marino. The space is adorned with technicoloured works from Sarah Crowner, Josh Sperling and the Campana Brothers. Vivid hues of hot pink, mint green and LV signature saffron pull the eye in each and every direction.
Yet all the LV fun doesn’t stop at the decor. Head upstairs to the womenswear space and catch a glimpse of LV jewels. Aside from the house’s Parisian flagship, New Bond Street is the only other Maison in the world to stock the entire Louis Vuitton fine jewellery, talk about giving you all the exclusives. In the accessories department, two new colourways to Nicolas Ghesquière’s modernised version of the Dauphine bag are only available to buy from this store. Fit with both an adjustable leather strap and hexagonal chain, the exclusive silhouette celebrates the house’s seasonal bi-colours. There’s the more sophisticated number; burgundy teamed with a classic navy. Or if you’re looking to push the boat out a little, it also comes in a muted teal. So what are your plans for the evening: cleaning the kitchen? Got to pick the kids up from after-school club? A microwave meal for one? Drop them all! There’s only one place you should be heading, and that’s 17-20 New Bond Street.
The Louis Vuitton Dauphine bag in the navy-burgundy colourway is exclusively available from Vuitton’s new London flagship store at 17-20 New Bond Street.
