Some things go really well together: rhubarb and custard, Batman & Robin, summer and Aperol spritz… And the list goes on. Without stating the obvious, another undisputed complementary pairing make music and fashion. What would a catwalk show be without its soundtrack? And musicians without fashion would be… Well, naked? Today, the British Fashion Council have launched Fashion & Music – the new project is kicking off with a series of short films pairing fashion designers with musicians to spark discussion between the two industries.
In six up-close and personal videos, the musicians and designers discuss their career paths, parallels between their vocations and how London and it’s inhabitants have informed and contributed to their creative processes through a relaxed Q&A format. Watch Astrid Andersen chat with James Blake, Per Götesson get to know YUNGBLUD, Paria /FARZANEH catch up with Celeste, JOBO meets Daya, Roberta Einer converse with Becky Hill and Paula Knorr talk with Grace Carter on the BFC’s Youtube channel.
