Gingham Galore: Enter Dior’s Brittania-themed Harrods Pop-Up

What springs to mind when you think of quintessential Britishness? Top answers include: black cabs, old-style phone boxes, British bulldogs and tartan. Minus the bulldogs (sadly), all of the above also feature in the new Dior pop-up shop at Harrods. In celebration of the launch of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s AW19 collection, the pop-up will be open to shop until the end of August at the Knightsbridge-based department store.

As homage to the House’s ongoing relationship with the UK and toasting all things Britannia, the pop-up space has been taken over by variations on checkered patterns in the key colours of the AW19 show. You’ll be able to get your hands on all your favourites – classic saddle and 30 Montaigne bags, woven bracelets, D-Connect trainers and the (of course) the Book Tote, which comes in a Union Jack exclusive for the occasion. Master milliner Stephen Jones’ bob bucket hats also come in a new Harrods-esque green colourway, whilst the TravelDior line in the brand’s Oblique logoed canvas will be available here (one of only 3 boutiques worldwide) and to be customised with the ABCDior service. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Dior double-deckers and taxis wrapped in complementary tartans, whizzing around the capital this month.

The Dior AW19 pop-up store will be open until 31st August in Harrods, London.
