Berluti: Menswear SS20

The slit-front trouser (from the front-pleat up), a wider “puddle flare” and a leather patchwork jogger with knitted-cuff hem. These new trouser options from Berluti designed by the brand’s creative director Kris Van Assche formed part of his spring line-out and came intermingled with suiting and half a dozen easy-to-wear blousons. “Mix it up!” Argues van Assche for spring. The line-out of super-bright wool suits – all kinds, in yellow, orange, light green, bright pink and a Klein blue, plus tunics – one worn over a tailored wide chino; opened up the house’s super-smart look.

Van Assche speaks to a younger customer, one who teams their suits with more casual options like the punched-out suede bomber or the motocross-inspired sporty jackets. The designer printed his signature script pattern on to fabrics and tooled it into the brand’s classic and hugely popular document bag. This is Berluti’s new way with suiting.
