The enigmatic Northern Lights was in the mind of Byblos designer Manuel Facchini whose upbeat vision for the Italian house is fast gathering fans. He put together a convincing line-up of quilted cocooning coats to keep out the polar vortex. Every kind of hooded parka you could imagine came down the runway: fur, neon, hockey inflected, brilliant space-age white. There were even iridescent faceted versions. Furry high-heeled yeti boots and yellow tinted visors completed the look. Selfie alert! If Burning Man ever did a deep freeze festival, this would be the dress code. Byblos is clearly the brand to turn to if you are planning a ski trip next winter and want to stand out on the slopes.
When the Byblos girl takes her coat off, she’s 100% ready to party in asymmetric cut-away jersey dresses, mirror faceted leggings and jump suits encrusted with pearls made from recycled plastic. Bravo Byblos!
