Corporate Sexy Boss Bitch. Let’s just put it out there – the Proenza Schouler boys rarely get it wrong and they did it again. Let’s start with the casting – perfection! From Binx Walton to Saskia de Brauw and the IT cool model Laura Morgan, the Proenza Schouler woman is not to be messed with. Not a mini or a short skirt or tight dress in sight, the clothes are made for the woman who is confident. Plenty of suiting but layered with crop knitted bra tops over long sleeve knits, dresses over pants, exaggerated shapes, cut outs on shoulders on dresses – the sexiest zone as far as we are concerned!
Colour palettes muted and earthly from the browns, creams, to the oranges. Us women do not want to dress like clowns but we do want the perfect pleated skirt to be worn under a slightly body hugging knit, we want great overwear or a trench that is modern, we want plenty of leather and just the right amount of denim. They delivered and judging from the audience and all the editors after the show, this collection is what we all want for fall, winter, spring and summer.
