Always the ones to support the world where two great ideas create one genius one, we still experience a jittery sense of excitement when brands we like end up working together. So, imagine the uproar when we got these news in our mailbox: NIKE X A-COLD-WALL COLLAB. Uhmmm, yes please! With a 4-piece capsule collection, designer Samuel Ross united the hi-tech Nike performance wear with his product design-like approach to fashion. This actually marks the second time Ross has worked with the sportswear giant. After creating his own take on the Air Force 1 High, the man behind one of London’s most exciting labels of the moment is extending the work into ready-to-wear as well as a new trainer.
This time round, his focus was on the Nike Zoom Vomero. The simple design of a running shoe is reconstructed and put together in a visually captivating way, without actually taking away from the function of the piece. Available in all-black and all-white, the Nike Zoom Vomero +5 x A-Cold-Wall is bound to become a streetwear classic in seconds from its launch. As for the clothes, the parka and the matching trouser come in a slate gray shade of nylon. Once again binding together fashion and function, the pieces don’t really fit into a single category but represent the ways we dress as of now. As modelled by the virtual models in the imagery, they are shown as the uniform of the future. We just hope they also happen to be in our future.
The pieces are launching exclusively in London on November 17th before launching globally on November 29th.
