Namacheko’s New Campaign Celebrates The Uni Days

Don’t you dread the idea of going back to your old school? Walking through the halls of fear where you thought your whole existence depended on a single exam in Statistics. Wait, am i projecting? Perhaps. But Dilan Lurr of Swedish-based Namacheko is quite the opposite. For the brand’s AW18 campaign, Dilan returned to his Alma Mater in order to capture his Kurdish-inspired collection that first walked down the Paris Fashion Week catwalk last January. His own collegiate experience at the faculty of Architecture at Lunds’ University in Sweden served as the inspiration for the encounter of disparate personalities that’s unraveling in the imagery.

The uniform-like qualities of Namacheko’s tailored aesthetic come to live in the almost-clinical university halls in playful scenarios portrayed in the narrative photographed by the designer himself. A strictly personal impression of a space, and a great homage to the place that made him who he is, this campaign is a great tribute to the fresh heritage of a young designer. Instead of running away from his education like many do, Dilan is throwing the greatest homecoming University of Lund has ever seen. Dress-code? A crisp Namacheko shirt. Consider this our RSVP.
