Mass excitement is in order – the streetwear brand on everyone’s lips and t-shirts is getting its own “London chapter”. Next Friday, August 31st, the space at 115 Wardour Street in the heart of Soho (and conveniently just around the corner from both Supreme and Palace) is turning into Stüssy’s London flagship space. And the time couldn’t be better. What started as a private venture of a Californian surfer back in late 1980s has since become a global community that defined generations and generations of skaters, musicians and artists. Their collective name is “International Stüssy Tribe” and they are one of the first examples of the idea of brand-dedication going beyond just wearing the clothes. It’s called living the lifestyle. So, what can you expect from Stüssy London? We predict a lot of 8-Ball prints and graffiti-logoed everything. And queues. A lot of them. Such is the power of hype.
