If there’s one promise we are happy to keep it’s to Louis Vuitton. Love us some Vuitton. It’s been all about LV over the past week with the success of Virgil Abloh’s first menswear show in Paris and now they are doing more good in the world. Continuing their partnership with UNICEF, Vuitton have created a collection of fluorescent bracelets as part of the #MakeAPromise campaign. A nice little epilogue to Virgil’s fluoro filled show. The bracelets are, of course, Louis Vuitton stamped. A girl’s gotta mark that territory. The logo is engraved on the ‘Silver Lockit,’ inspired by Georges Vuitton’s tumbler lock from 1890 that he created to protect customers’ most valuable belongings. The locket has become a symbol of protection in the House’s history, so here Vuitton chose it, “as a symbol of sealing one’s promise to help children in urgent need.” The partnership has previously raised over five million US dollars to provide support for children and their families in need such as those involved in the Syrian crisis. The purchase of the Silver Lockit ensures funds are raised for UNICEF to aid the eleven million children in Syria and surrounding countries with water, food, medical care and clothing. The bracelets come in a sweet orange, jet black, sky blue, hot pink and neon yellow. Obviously we will be buying them all. Stack ‘em up. As our motto goes: look good, do good.
