Game on. MSGM was in beast mode today as Massimo Giorgetti took it to the court for a winning playoff for Spring/ Summer 2019. It was an eruption of prints, colours, all the sugar and spice of the MSGM wonderland erupting with high density energy, extra fuel, hypervitamins and ultrapower. The keys for success. The expected tracksuits were logo’d, energy charged, racer style with slinky skinny trackpants that fell down the leg to meet a new contender for our favourite sneaker. They were chunky, obvs in the cleanest white with sprays of perfectly patterned neon colours. The need for speed. Denim fell loose and blue, prints of roaring sharks brought the danger. The heat of summer was melting into sunrise style oranges and reds, prints of palm trees in their element. Striped shirts were layered, the new Italian businessman in reflective visor sunglasses, working so well with those pin stripe suits and sneakers. Trippy prints full throttled through the collection, MSGM Milano printed down the sleeves of long shirts, track shorts peeking out with socks pulled high. We love a bit of nerdy athleticism. Italian ’90s pop group Delta V was on blast for the finale. The ultimate Italian parade, if the Olympics were held in Milan this is what they would work. A concept. In the words of MSGM, never look back, it’s all ahead. Full speed, please.
