Pop it up, pop it in, let us begin! Louis Vuitton are seeking new horizons with their tantalisingly shoppable new Pre-Fall collection. As far as new horizons go, this an ethereal, Himalayan sunset, one that will be popping up in an exclusive new basement space at the brand’s Bond Street store. Not a creepy basement though, this being Louis Vuitton it’s the sort of basement to leave you convinced that natural light is hugely overrated and subterranean living is the only way forward.
Some exciting things to note here. One. Louis Vuitton are offering two new interpretations of their monogram. Introducing the Monogram Shadow – what we’re calling a textural affair with a new line of matte leather, and the Upside-Down, which we’re really hoping we don’t have to explain to you. Two. Vivienne. Vivienne is the collection’s flower-faced mascot, parading about on bags and pouches like a distant and incredibly glamorous cousin of Bill & Ben (the flower pot men). The collection itself is paired back and simple. Plenty of easy shirting and casual jackets – the sort of clothes boys want to wear on a daily basis. We’re popping there now.
