Like a rhinestone cowboy, or cow girl, strutting out on the runway in a star spangled rodeo. That was Dsquared2 , well something like that. There were rhinestones, and the models were definitely dressed for a rodeo. In fact it was rather Wild West, a raunched up Dr Quinn, if Dr Quinn had been a little less buttoned up and little more debauched, but then I suppose that is the cross that every medical professional must bear- professionalism. There were girls here too, hence the mention of Dr Quinn, also because my brain is failing at remembering anything else that’s Wild West set. Anyway, what of the clothes? They have all the hallmarks of a nomadic cowboy who dwells in salons, with a bit of glam rock thrown in for good measure. Trousers of denim and leather are tailored and sit high on the waist and are ever so slightly flared for a kicky effect. It also makes them easier to pull over your cowboy boots- Dean and Dan are practical like that. Check and silk embroidered shirts are tucked in and worn under boxy jackets adorned with leather piping to give a harder masculine edge to the shiny beads and Mongolian furs. Basically, this collection has everything a modern day, bucking bronco nomad, traversing the great American wilderness could ever need.
