Breaking possibly every law in fashion land, I squeezed my foot into this spike on wheels and loved every minute of it. Like a fat mum on sports day, my impressive tits (or as I like to call them, “sweater puppets”, because they keep everybody entertained) were wobbling around like a couple of Kojaks at last orders. It was, as everyone in the office pointed out, “something quite different”. I would encourage all to invest in these psycho-wondrous wheel-heels that will bring joy to those who wear them and be super-handy when you need to pop to the shops for some biscuits and/or a Pot Noodle. The red leather kitty on the side adds a bit of roller-disco glamour. We love, too, how maestro pin-up designer Anthony Vaccarello has added that very useful slingback strap to help avoid an #awks fall in Tesco. And when showing off on Instagram, they serve as the perfect pretend phone: “Hi! Yes, we can fit you in for a bubble perm!” And so on. Ten’s own fashion aceness, Joel, said they’re the perfect blind-date spike because “if he or she turns out to be a pig, you can wheel away really quickly! And if you’re sitting alone in a bar, rather than playing with your hair, you can spin your roller heels seductively, which is, of course, the height of Saint Laurent flirtation.” Amazing.
