Here’s what Dries Van Noten said about his show just, or rather the woman he channeled: “…she knows the rules to break the rules, cocktails at five. Addicted to fun, elegance and artifice. Ornament as garments, garments as ornament. Archetypal printed scarves.” Sums “her” – Ms Dries – up a treat.
Here’s what we said: “…nude and paired back doesn’t need to be boring. Dries’s paired back look had diamanté trims and long earrings in diamanté too.” And.
The things you can pick up and do yourself after a Dries show is something else:
1. In doubt about what shoes to wear with florals: gold chunky heels! Do this immediately.
2. Best colour combo for next spring? Light pink and lemon!
3. Best place to place a brooch? Right over the top button of a fasten shirt.
4. Side parting hair for a juzhy night out? Glue in a line of crystals along the parting. Wig glue advisable. Lovely show, this.
