Joseph may have had a technicolour dream coat, but the Area girls have technicolour everything. Lucky things. Colour was front and centre – zingy reds, decorated with diamante strawberries, pinks and greens, the brights countered with touches of lustrous metallics.
Lots of little 1990s references ran throughout – it’s an era that the duo have admitted they are completely obsessed with – the brand’s logo, spelt out in crystals, crop tops, trousers that came up just above the ankle and flared slightly towards the hem. And the hair. What should we say about that? Well, it was sort of part Nat Portman in Star Wars, part a nod to early New York hip-hop. Hows that for a clash of references?
