Chances are you’ve probably haven’t heard of Nathalie Dufour, but you will definitely have heard of ANDAM, or to use its full name, Association Nationale de Développement des Arts de la Mode. It’s one of the fashion industry’s most prestigious organisations and prize funds, which she founded in 1989 with the help of Pierre Bergé. That first year the main prize was awarded to one Martin Margiela and, over the years, the baton has been passed to, among others, Anthony Vaccarello, Jeremy Scott and Johanna Senyk of Wanda Nylon. Needless to say, her eye for spotting talent is pretty much unrivalled.
