Everyone’s familiar with the concept of being fashionably late.You swan in, preferably with drink in hand, as though you were completely oblivious to the fact that the party kicked off several hours ago. The idea is, everyone will look at you and think to themselves, “Wow, where’s he been for the past four hours? Probably at some other party…” If you somehow aren’t familiar with this, you should give it a go, your friends will think you’re pretty cool. But what about writing about a party fashionably late? Now that’s cool. The later the better in fact, which is why we thought we’d bring you the news about DSquared2’s D2Gether party, which went down last week in Milan. Being one of the first brands to merge their men’s and women’s show, they sensibly decided to fill their usual AW17 slot with a rave at VOLT nightclub. I use the word rave quite loosely here, we’re not talking ‘have you got any gum/can I have a sip of your water?’ scenario, this was undoubtedly a classier affair, with none other than Hadid2 in attendance, both dressed head-to-toe in full DSquared2 get up. With South-African house artist DJ Black Coffee on the 1s & 2s, and Vodka Belvedere cocktails in full flow all night, this is genuinely one we are sad to have missed.
