What’s better than one collection? Two. Which there weren’t exactly at Thakoon’s SS17 offering today, but there was a mirrored ceiling, so it was basically the same. And that’s not a typo. This was a SS17 collection, because Thakoon’s latest was a see now, buy now jobby, meaning that it operates a season behind. Or a season in the present. You know what we mean. Which made it a slightly odd proposition – New York is currently (did we mention already?) baltic – and this, ready to buy right now, was distinctly summery. Think: prep on her hols – pastel trenches, stripey polos, shirts tied loosely around the waist. But everyone likes a bit of an escape, non? Besides, as bona fide fashion victims, we’d probably wear most of it in current cold weather spell. What is it they say about suffering for fashion?
