I mean, we love a makeover. IMO, everyone would look better with a little facelift/fillers/butt implant. Not that this person in question, or well, store, needed any of the above. It was fabulous. But now it’s going to be even more fabulous. Yes, iconic boutique Browns is getting a new look – as of Monday they will have a brand new logo, new packaging and a totally refurbed website. And, if that wasn’t enough, the physical store’s design will be having a rejig and it will all be finished off with a smattering of exclusive products to celebrate. So, why now? Well, in keeping with the original philosophy of the store – the store’s buyers have travelled, quite literally, the length and breadth of the world to bring back some of the most exciting designers in the world. To be specific, across men’s and womenswear there will be a whopping 68 new brands. Because you know what they say about quality and quantity? Well, ignore that. Because why choose? This, my dears, is both quantity and quality.
So, the specifics. The newly updated website, brownsfashion.com, promises a “new approach to editorial, social integration and functionality.” Which, in terms you need to know means: more opportunities for you to be parted with your money. We’ve had a preview and it looks sleek. So too do the new logo and packaging, designed by former Vogue Creative Director and Executive Creative Director, Spring, Robin Derrick. It all comes in a year that new CEO, Holli Rodgers, has posted a triple-digit turnover. We aren’t terribly adept with business but even we know that’s very good.
So, how best to celebrate all of this? With the world’s largest fashion scratchcard, of course. Which is, as the name suggests, a very large scratchcard with which you can win lots of fashions. Like, say, a Balenciaga tote or a Fendi bag. As demonstrated above. It all kicks off from Monday next week, with the scratchcard launching on the 14th. So go, scratch away, win.
