Tonight, we spent the evening with Armani. Mr. Armani, a cocktail party for the opening of the new Parisian store and the Emporio Armani SS17 show all became basically the same thing, right? Emporio Armani takes Paris. Sounds like a good reality TV show. Can we make that happen? Anyway, the clothes. Okay, to start, yes there is a touch of India. Mr. Armani loves an adventure and tonight he took us somewhere super exotic, to India. But it was modern India, with a loose take on traditional prints suffused with a sportier, easier Emporio Armani take on athleisure. Dare we say that word again? Armanileisure? It deserves its own hybrid name. This is where the season started in New York. Now we are week four in Paris and so we are back to cropped tops, and a slick, soft sense of Lo-fi. Fresh and clean and all of it in bright pops of purple and rich red. We must add in we loved the braids. So we’re signing off, dreaming of elephants and all things Indian.
