Bonjour gay Paree. The last leg of our fashion marathon. And what better way to open than with a quintessentially French collection from Jacquemus? For SS17 Simon Porte took us on a journey to the South of France. Delightful. And why the South? Well it is where he grew up of course. And we have got the green-eyed monster because we want to grow up with these Provençal women. Or want to be her rather. In her straw boater hat, having a picnic by the Rhône drinking red wine and eating cheese – you know real French stuff. And the perfect garments to lounge about in: wide-legged trousers or blouses with exaggerated shoulders and sleeves. A little 80s, because that never hurts. And because it wouldn’t be a Jacquemus show without some geometry, we would also grab a pair of those leather flats with the large square heel. C’est bon!
