Naturally, working in fashion, we never eat. We don’t even think about food. Ever. So you can imagine our collective horror when we heard that Alexandre Mattiussi (of the AMI variety) would be collaborating with master chocolatier Pierre Marcolini. Oh how wrong we were though, because this is a match made in Heaven. It turned up on our doorstep, like an abandoned baby. Of course we had to try it, all for ‘science’. And oh my what a beautiful chocolate, man. And this collaboration really is an attack on all the senses. Carefully considered. The box, like an old 50s television, the taste, the smell, even to touch they chocolates are silky smooth. Inviting. And apparently it is a declaration of love to Paris, the City of Love, and a city they love. So Paris we thank you for inspiring such beauty. And Alexandre and Pierre for getting your heads together to woo us. If you want to be wooed you won’t have to wait much longer as the collaboration will be available across all Maison Pierre Marcolini stores and in a new pop-up especially for this at Carrousel du Louvre. So hop on the Eurostar and make sure you bring us some choccies back, they’re dead good.
