Last night Jack, Will and I (aka The Three Witches) attended the launch of the Sì Le Parfum by Giorgio Armani. Now I’m not one for socialising and have apparently become a hermit. So this was my first outing into the real world and, my, what an outing it was. The event had all the kinds of things I imagined a sort of event would have. Gorgeous girls on the door to usher you in, a photo op at the entrance of the event, champagne served by handsome waiters, food served by handsome waiters etc. It was wondrous, perhaps a little too much for my hermit self. More canapes, more champagne, more handsome waiters. And then the main event – into the room entered Cate Blanchett in a nude number. The seas parted and she took the stage to give a moving speech about how she loved the parfum – which we were told was a pure parfum – the first of it’s kind. Sì Woman at the event were fellow Sì Women; Charlotte Ranson, Kee Yoon Kim and Cecile Schmollgruber. I wondered if there were any plans to have Sì Men. I didn’t think the night could be topped until right at the end of the night as we were making our way out, Cate strutted past us in a grey Giorgio Armani suit. She smelt of Sì and success. Yasssssss I screamed in my head. Or Sìiiiiiii, rather.
