A First Look At Coach’s Pre-Fall 2016 Campaign

The Coach woman is on the move. And not, as her name may suggest, in a coach. Could you imagine Lexi, Rianne or Imaan, exquisite beauties as they are, dumped next to the loo on the Megabus? No, a Coach girl’s posterior must be perched on beige padded leather, preferably vintage, allowing her to sit back, relax and hold close her large and lovely Coach bag. Like a child. “Look at the way she cradles it,” Phoebe, our Editorial Director says. “She is holding that bag like a baby.” But really, Phoebe, is any child as precious as a Coach bag? No. In fact, a Coach bag makes the perfect substitute for a baby. She’s beautiful, doesn’t require feeding, burping or her shit cleaned up, consequently meaning that you can wear Stuart Vevers’ Pre-Fall offering without fear. Good news, because as per, it’s a beauty – bucket-loads of shearling, floral appliques, animal prints, delicate florals, a touch of Americana – photographed most handsomely by Steven Meisel in Red Hook, Brooklyn. As Coach say, “the pictures evoke the modern interpretation of the classic American aesthetic that has become one of the brand’s hallmarks as Coach transforms to a compelling lifestyle brand.”
