In an announcement this morning, Canali, purveyor of luxury Italian menswear have announced the departure of Andrea Pompilio, the brand’s Creative Consultant. Seems like it was one of those amicable break-ups, which is always nice. No dramas here. “The decision to part ways is a reciprocal one and coincides with the natural expiration of the agreement between Canali and Andrea,” said Canali this morning. “Both parties agree that this is an ideal moment to complete the collaboration, which has come full circle over the course of nearly two years and four collections”. Canali will continue to hold a runway show in June during Milan Fashion Week, developed by an in-house team. “Today, Canali continues to pave the path that it embarked on in 1934,” they said. “Every milestone along the way has served to enrich the brand, resulting in collections that are refined, distinctive and above all, that showcase its dedication to excellence in quality, Made in Italy craftsmanship and fine tailoring.” Well there we go. Nothing to see here.
