TGIF #43 PLAYLIST: AW16 SOUNDTRACKS

There are many elements that make an amazing fashion show. There are, of course, the clothes. Then we have the models upon who’s bodies the clothes are hung, draped and wrapped. There is the venue. The styling. The hair and makeup. There is one element, however, that is often overlooked when viewing a fashion show in two-dimensions. The show soundtrack. It can make or break the vibe, therefore enlivening or killing ours. Our Shazamoholic, aka Shaz, aka King Shazam, aka Garth Spencer says “It connects all of the senses. It heightens your experience of the show, but a mismatched track can be really jarring”. You know when the music is heightening a guests experience when the guest appears to be having a mild seizure in their seat. Yes, we’ve certainly seen a few fashion people enjoying the music so much that they cannot help but let it flow through their bodies, resulting in an involuntary body pop. In fact, Shaz himself has been witnessed dancing in his seat to the beat. His particular style of contemporary dance is a shoulder shimmy complete with signature rugged pout. Some might say Shaz is more of an attraction than the clothes. Some might not. Anyway, here’s 10’s definitive playlist of the best show tracks for you to enjoy.
