Alessandro Dell’Acqua decided that winter was the season to rough up at No 21. How refreshing. Alongside his signature delicate slips in tulle and chiffon, he offered Lumberjack tartan checks, denims, a couple of big Aloha-print sweatshirts that looked a little like beaten-up surfer attire. What was going on? What was going on was very clever indeed – a woman cannot dress by see-through lingerie alone, my dears. So this was Dell’Acqua widening his remit and his retail offering at No. 21. It also didn’t feel like these were only clothes for those aged 21 and under – we’re most of us at Ten Towers a few years over that, but could imagine us all getting quite a bit of traction (and maybe some action) from these garms. Fabulous.
