Mass foil fashion moment at Calvin Klein’s Eveningwear Capsule collection, shown in New York yesterday. For what says eveningwear more than a pair of gold foil trousers? A bit like being clad in the a very glamorous version of a Crunchie wrapper. Which is how I would ideally attend any evening-time event. For those boys with less magpie-like tendencies, there was plenty of nice black suiting as well, following on from their Milan collection – according to Mr Press Release, “the capsule consists of tuxedos and outerwear that are exquisitely tailored and rendered in rich fabrics, sumptuous textures and unexpected accents”. And in the end it all turned into a bit of a party in itself, with Italo Zucchelli hosting the likes of Joe Bada$$, actor Ben Walker and American footballer Eric Decker. A man for all seasons. But that’s the Calvin boy, innit?
