How’s this for a campaign? A collection sexy young things showing off their Calvin undies. Yes plz. It’s perhaps the greatest gathering of artistic talent since Billie Piper, Steps, Cleopatra and B*Witched united at the 1999 Brit Awards to perform ABBA tribute “Thank ABBA For The Music”. The whole gang’s here – FKA, Kendrick, Kendall, Saskia, Biebs, Fetty plus lots of other creative sorts and sees the whole Calvin family has come together in one campaign – their collection, undies, jeans – all celebrating what it means to be a CK boy/girl. And the caption across each of the Tyrone Leblon-shot images? “I _____ in my Calvins,” leaving its models to fill in the blank. Kendrick “Reflects” in his, FKA Twigs “Excels”, Ms Kendall Jenner “Stands Tall”. And what would I write in my empty box? Well, probably Lie Down / Watch TV / Eat / Sleep. A little less inspiring. According to Mr Press Release “this campaign moves from the passive, solo moment of the static selfie to live action, supporting the concept that the movement and moments of life are what creates its sensuality and sexiness.” Who’d have thought? “The shared human truth at the heart of a generation that prides itself on its purpose and ambition,” apparently. So basically this campaign is like, transcendent. Enjoy.
