Fluff enough? We love fluff here at Ten Towers, and Giambattista Valli is a maestro of couture fluff. I wonder how that’s spelled? Fluffé? Like a soufflé, which is as light as a Giamba ball gown, even the gargantuan ones the size of most people’s lounge-diners are weightless, like fabulous coloured smoke rolling in across the catwalk. You get a bit hyperbolic around the couture. But this was a great Giamba show, full of his signature styles – expansive skirts, exquisite embroideries, beautiful laces, a sorbet palette with zings of neon yellow and red – but new enough to delight the couture acolytes who flock and clap every look. Fabu!
