Coats, coats and more coats. Very good coats, at that, in soft shearling or slouchy wool, long on the body or cropped at the hem – a whole gamut of the stuff. Which made sense really, because what else would one want to wear in winter? I mean, just ask the generations of mothers that have impressed upon their young the importance of a “good winter coat”. But that’s the beauty of Paula Gerbase’s designs – showing menswear again after a couple of seasons off – these are clothes that men, or anyone really, would actually want to wear, a practical, pragmatic collection ready to walk off the catwalk and straight on to the street. Yup, even that full-wool boilersuit.
