BEATS x Fendi: The Billboard

Everybody knows that bigger equals better. Spesh when it comes to a billboard. Like that episode of Sex And The City where Smith’s naked bod is made into a skyscraper high vodka ad. Let’s reminisce:

Samantha: Well, that’s the first thing every woman in town will be saying after she sees it.
Smith: It’s huge!
Samantha: And that’s the second.

As you can see, a large billboard is… impactful. Cast your mind also back towards that iconic Twitter snap when Victoria Beckham posed in front of David’s H&M billboard pretending she’s cupping his balls. Because what says buy me that something twenty times the size of real life? This time, the giant billboard in Times Square comes courtesy of Fendi (the biggest in the world, apparently) – who are celebrating their collaboration with BEATS by Dre headphones. It stars Pyper American Smith (sister of Mr Lucky Blue) who looks like she is enjoying the BEATS by Dre x Fendi listening experience greatly. But why wouldn’t she? Apparently, “this product expresses the common values of both brands’ innovation, creativity, experimentation and obsession for quality.” More from the press release, where they flip seamlessly from English to French to Italian. Aren’t they clever – “available in an amazing colour palette from sunflower yellow, to fire red and darker versions as electric blue and much more of Cuoio Romano leather where the mat metal and the logos are in a sophisticated ton sur ton ensemble.” We don’t know why you would want to place anything else upon your ears. As they say – “innovation meets Savoir Faire!”
