Everybody knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. But why can’t they be a boy’s best friend too? I mean, I think that this Cartier tiara would look just as good upon my head as many of my female counterparts. This thought came to me whilst perusing the catalogue for Cartier’s Le Diamant exhibition, on today and tomorrow at Phillips Mayfair. There’s 200 diamond creations on display (the largest Cartier has ever done in the UK) showcasing spanking new pieces alongside antique creations (the tiara above dates back to 1911), with everything from gobstopper jewels to more subtle offerings. And a brooch in the shape of a grenade. We have already compiled a list of all our favourites. It’s my birthday on Saturday…
