I’ll be honest I’ve been exhausted recently; consuming all these fashions is tough work! I’ve been so tired that when I looked in the mirror first thing yesterday morning (my favourite thing to do) I was greeted by the abject horror of extremely large bags under my eyes. Not even the designer kind! Had they been they probably would have been bags from the new SS16 collection by Christian Louboutin. The inspiration, according to Christian, was a showgirl – and this was his ode to her, and the new bag, the Paloma (available in mini and large for your pleasure) represents her. The bag’s sleek handles represent her legs, the playful leopard panel her matching bathrobe and underwear strewn across her dressing rooms, the studs representing the stage lights that light her up to all who have come to watch. So many hidden meanings in a single bag it reminded me of GCSE English. And Paloma is not alone, the collection is also made up of the Vanity Clutch, Triloubi, Piloutin and Baby Charity all as equally enticing. So yes, if the bags under my eyes were Christian Louboutin then perhaps my Monday morning wouldn’t have been quite as terrible.
