There’s a sense of youth at Carven this season. Mixed with a tongue in cheek sportiness. Fresh faced and sporty like a young Steffi Graf, and why I mention Steffi Graf specifically I don’t know, all I can say is that my mind has momentarily blanked out any other lady tennis player name and you really can’t compare Carven to a young fresh faced John McEnroe because, let’s be honest, he was never fresh faced. Nor was this collection, despite the tangent, about tennis. Rather it was about scuba diving and deep sea oceania. So think neat tops and blouses tucked into flirty skirts with asymmetric hems and long flared trousers peppered with many aquatic motifs, from eyelets to sea creature prints.
