This season, the Diesel Black Gold girl was – dare-we-say it – demure. Once upon a time she was bedecked all in the colour black. No longer. For Andreas Melbostad has shown her the wonders of white. He enjoys the colour white. Crisp, unattainable white. Here it found itself on blouses, buttoned up to the collar, cut-out geometric dress. A little peplum top. But don’t worry – the Diesel girl hasn’t lost her edge just yet. There was still plenty of black. And lots of leather, too – like a rather natty pair of dungarees or those belt-like asymmetric straps on the dresses. Apparently this was “a girl who steps into her boyfriend’s wardrobe, takes a white shirt, wears it like a dress and throws a cool jacket over it.” But really, now that we have this to wear instead, who needs a boyfriend at all?
