Being told to ‘strap it up’ is advice that we would usually recommend adhering to. Especially when it comes to car seatbelts and/or sexual relations. And now, thanks to Louis Vuitton – bags. Who knows better than them when it comes to leather-crafted goods? This season Kim Jones sent out his boys in not one but two mini shoulder bags, their straps criss-crossing over the body of the models. The effect? A kind of Louis Vuitton harness-cum-utlity belt. The bags themselves – what should we call them – mini messengers, perhaps? A camera bag? Whatever. As the Louis Vuitton website says, ‘this functional bag will quickly become the envy of your entourage.’ Is that not what you have always wanted? Who doesn’t want to be the envy of their friends? That leaves only decision for you to make – what Vuitton boy are you? Are you classic monogram or the new season Christopher Nemeth rope motif? Or perhaps both – there’s no limits. Wear one, two, three, four of these beautiful miniatures – we’re not stopping you. In our eyes, the more straps the better.
