For those of you who were lucky enough to go to Granville yesterday for the Dior exhibition the following information should be fresh in your mind – think of this as revision. For those of you who couldn’t get there, pay close attention. There will be a pop quiz. Open since June 6th at the Musée Christian Dior in Granville is ‘Dior, the New Look Revolution’ a story of the iconic Bar suit which shaped fashion at the time of its creation, but still also shapes contemporary fashion. The exhibition, curated by fashion historian Florence Müller, celebrates the Bar suit through photographs, archival material as well as contemporary creations of the silhouette by Raf Simons and other well know talents. The exhibition runs until November 1st so don’t dilly-dally and hop on the train to Paris, you’ll be in the beautiful seaside town of Granville feasting your eyes on the wonders of the exhibition. And if that is not enough to whet your appetite, then you’re in for a treat because as well as the exhibition there is also a book with the same title, published by Rizzoli which you can treasure forever. Très bien!
