Pink, Steven Tyler once said, is my favourite colour. He could have been speaking for Giorgio Armani, who dedicated his autumn/winter Armani Privé show to it. There was a bit of blue too; and bottley green, and tonnes of black. Despite his reputation for minimalism, Mr Armani enjoys indulging his exuberant side in his haute couture collections. This time, it was feathered and embroidered and flounced and ruffled and flecked with tinselly flecks and beaded fringe. Sound minimal? Don’t think so. A tour de force of remarkable technique and extravagant imagination.
