Bouchra Jarrar spent well-publicised stints at Lacroix and Balenciaga. The former established her couture credentials; the latter cemented her sense of cool. But she cut her teeth working for a lingerie company. Her collection today was all about bringing a touch of the naughty nightie to the tailoring that has made her name a modern must-see on the haute couture calendar. Hence her silk tulle plissé skirts, her louche silk trench coats cut in slipper satin in powder shades of blue and peach, and her Spanx-y satin corsets and bandeau bras. Suits never looked so sexy, ma cherie.
