Shall I just burn all my clothes and wear Yohji From now on?“ That’s what a British fashion director said to us today, quite naturally at the Yohji Yamamoto show. It was before double-Y showed his latest spring 2016 wares, but after the show we got what he meant. Yohji is about style, not fashion really: his slumpy-crutched, baggy-shouldered suits could have come from any year over the last thirty or so and still look as good as they did today. There’s an eternity to what he does. After three weeks of full-on fashion, there was something refreshing about that.
