It’s a clever designer who can take one concept, namely a classic denim jacket, and shape it into something else. Another denim jacket but better and cooler. The pockets of one particular denim jacket were bigger and it made a whole lot of difference. It felt so much more, well, bang-up-to-date. More denim in puddle flares – the raving kind. These really big jeans don’t feel particularly alarming anymore thanks to designer like Juun.J who’s been championing them for a few seasons along with like-minded architects like Craig Green. Then there were zips, or rather one big zip that dissected pinstripe jackets and all-in-ones: these will be a hit.
