“I have always loved the New York Dolls,” says ACNE Creative Director Jonny Johansson. That will explain the blocker boots; these made the 6ft-something models taller, still. The clothes were clean and simple, all fuss expelled. The graphic prints on boilersuits and trousers were by surfer Robin Kegel. The blazers were absolutely the best and looked a little ‘50s safari suit – just beautiful. This idea of a retro jacket and trousers came through at Prada, too. It’s a thing. Let’s all consider this for next spring.
